नई दिल्ली। देश में उच्च शिक्षा की गुणवत्ता में सुधार के लिए शुरू की गई एनआईआरएफ ‘रैंकिंग 2018’ जारी की गई।मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्री प्रकाश जावड़ेकर ने रैंकिंग जारी करते हुए यह घोषणा की। जावड़ेकर ने कहा है कि इस प्रक्रिया में शामिल नहीं होने वाले सरकारी संस्थानों की फंड में कटौती की जाएगी। अभी तक एनआईआरएफ में शामिल होना अनिवार्य नहीं था।ओवरआॅल व यूनिवर्सिटी श्रेणी में आईआईएससी बेंगलुरू व इंजीनियरिंग में आईआईटी मद्रास टॉप पर रहे। नेशनल इंस्टीट्यूशनल रैंकिंग फ्रेमवर्क (एनआईआरएफ) की सूची में आईआईटी मद्रास ने ओवरआॅल कैटगरी में अपनी दूसरी रैंक बरकरार रखी है।यूनिवर्सिटी श्रेणी में दूसरे नंबर पर काबिज जेएनयू, नई दिल्ली ओवरआॅल कैटगरी में छठवें नंबर पर है।मैनेजमेंट श्रेणी में आईआईएम-अहमदाबाद ने पहला स्थान, आईआईएम-बेंगलुरू ने दूसरा और आईआईएम-कलकत्ता ने तीसरा स्थान हासिल किया। फार्मेसी श्रेणी में टॉप पर एनआईपीईआर-मोहाली, दूसरे नंबर पर जामिया हमदर्द और तीसरे नंबर पर पंजाब यूनिवर्सिटी है। मेडिकल श्रेणी में कुल 25 संस्थान हैं। टॉप पर एम्स, नई दिल्ली है।कॉलेजेस कैटगरी में पहले दो स्थानों पर नई दिल्ली का मिरांडा हाउस आैर सेंट स्टीफेंस कॉलेज हैं।केंद्र ने सभी सरकारी उच्च शिक्षा संस्थानों को राष्ट्रीय संस्थागत रैंकिंग फ्रेमवर्क (एनआईआरएफ) में शामिल होने को अनिवार्य कर दिया है।कुल 9 श्रेणियों में रैंकिंग जारी की गई। इनमें ओवरऑल, यूनिवर्सिटीज, इंजीनियरिंग, कॉलेजेस, मैनेजमेंट, फार्मेसी, मेडिकल, आॅर्किटेक्चर और लॉ कटेगरी में रैंकिंग जारी की गई। मेडिकल, ऑर्किटेक्चर और लाॅ को इस बार पहली बार शामिल किया गया। रैंकिंग में तमिलनाडु के सबसे ज्यादा 22 संस्थानों ने टॉप-100 में जगह बनाई। वहीं महाराष्ट्र से 11, यूपी से 8, पश्चिम बंगाल से 7, दिल्ली, कर्नाटक से 6, केरल, तेलंगाना, पंजाब, आंध्र प्रदेश से 4-4 संस्थानों ने ओवरऑल रैंकिंग के टॉप-100 में जगह बनाई। असम से 3 और राजस्थान, झारखंड, जम्मू-कश्मीर, पुडुचेरी, उत्तराखंड संयुक्त रूप से 2-2 संस्थानों के साथ 12वें स्थान पर रहे।
