नई दिल्ली। लगातार पंजाब और दिल्ली-एनसीआर में बढ़ रहे प्रदूषण के मद्देनजर गुरुवार को एनजीटी ने पंजाब में 31 अक्टूबर से 28 फरवरी तक सभी ईंटों के भट्टो को बंद करने का फैसला सुनाया है। फैसले के अनुसार इस दौरान सभी ईंटों के भट्टे बंद रहेंगे। बता दें कि पंजाब कंट्रोल बोर्ड ने पहले ही नवंबर से फरवरी तक सभी ईंटों के भट्टे बंद रखने का आदेश दिया था जिसे एनजीटी ने बरकरार रखने का आदेश दिया है। ईंटों के भट्टों के मालिकों ने ईंटों के भट्टों के मालिकों ने पंजाब प्रदूषण कंट्रोल बोर्ड के आदेश को अपीलेट अथॉरिटी में चुनौती दी। जहां ईंटों के मालिकों के हक मे फैसला सुना दिया गया लेकिन अपीलेट अथॉरिटी के इस फैसले को आगे कुछ सामाजिक कार्यकर्ताओं ने एनजीटी में चुनौती दी। एनजीटी ने बिना देर किए अपीलेट अथॉरिटी के फैसले को बदलकर पंजाब प्रदूषण कंट्रोल बोर्ड के फैसले को दोबारा लागू करने की राज्य सरकार को आदेश दे दिए। मामले की जानकारी देते हुए पंजाब प्रदूषण कंट्रोल बोर्ड के वकील नागेंद्र बेनीपाल ने बताया की सुनवाई के दौरान एनजीटी ने सरकार को यह सुनिश्चित करने के लिए कहा है कि इन 4 महीनों में जब भट्टा मालिक ईंटों का निर्माण ना कर रहे हों तब भी ईंटों की कीमत में बढ़ोतरी नहीं होनी चाहिए। जहां ईंटें बनाते है वहां भी जमीन से धूल न उड़े। सरकार सुनिश्चित करे कि उस जगह को पक्का करवाया जाए और जो इस आदेश का पालन न करें उसे जुर्माना लगाया जाए। अब देखने यह होगा एनजीटी के इस फैसले से प्रदूषण पर कितनी लगाम लगती है अगर इसमें एनजीटी को कामयाबी मिली तो हर साल पंजाब में नवंबर से फरवरी के बीच ईंटों के भट्टे बंद रह सकते है।
