नई दिल्ली। सुप्रीम कोर्ट ने उत्तर प्रदेश की स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था को देखते हुए योगी सरकार के उस अधिकार का समर्थन किया है, जिसके तहत वह राज्य सरकार के डाक्टरों को ऐच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति (वीआरएस) लेने से मना कर सकती है। कोर्ट ने कहा कि सभी डॉक्टरों के ऐच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति से गरीबों के लिए स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था धराशायी हो जाएगी।जस्टिस अरुण मिश्रा की अगुआई वाली बेंच ने कहा कि गरीबों के जीवन का अधिकार, कर्मचारियों के ऐच्छिक सेवानिवृत्ति लेने के अधिकार से ऊपर है। इससे पहले इलाहाबाद हाई कोर्ट ने 29 नवंबर, 2017 को कहा था कि राज्य सरकार के पास किसी भी कर्मचारी को वीआरएस लेने से रोकने का अधिकार नहीं है। राज्य सरकार के नियम के तहत सभी कर्मचारियों को 3 महीने का नोटिस पीरियड पर रहने के बाद वीआरएस लेने का अधिकार है, लेकिन राज्य सरकार ने भारी संख्या में आ रहे इस्तीफों को देखते हुए 4 सीनियर डॉक्टरों को वीआरएस देने से इनकार कर दिया था। इसके बाद ये डॉक्टर हाई कोर्ट चले गए थे, जिसने उनके हक में फैसला दिया था। यूपी की बदतर स्वास्थ्य व्यवस्था की एक बानगी पिछले साल देखने को मिली थी, जब गोरखपुर हॉस्पिटल में भर्ती कई मासूमों की ऑक्सीजन की कमी के चलते मौत हो गई थी। राज्य सरकार ने इस मामले में अस्पताल प्रशासन को दोषी ठहराया था।
