पुणे : शहरी प्रशासन के मामले में पुणे को 20 राज्यों के 23 शहरों में टॉप पोजिशन मिली है। वहीं बेंगलुरु इसे मामले में सबसे पीछे है। भारत में शहरी व्यवस्था के इस वार्षिक सर्वे में 20 राज्यों को शामिल किया गया था जिसमें पुणे को 10 के पैमाने पर 5.1 पॉइंट मिले। इसके बाद दिल्ली (4.4) और मुंबई (4.2) का नंबर है। वहीं कोलकाता, तिरुवनंतपुरम, भुवनेश्वर और सूरत को पुणे से कम रैंक मिली है।
यह सर्वे जनाग्रह सेंटर फॉर सिटिजनशिप ऐंड डिमॉक्रेसी नाम के एक एनजीओ द्वारा कराया गया है। पिछले साल नौवें नंबर पर रहने वाले पुणे ने इस बार टॉप पोजिशन तिरुवनंतपुरम से छीन ली है और शहरी व्यवस्थाओं के मामले में सभी टॉप शहरों को पीछे छोड़ दिया है। इस स्टडी में शहरी निकाय के कामकाज के तरीकों का विश्लेषण कर प्रशासन की गुणवत्ता का अवलोकन किया जाता है। इसमें शामिल शहरों ने 89 सवालों के आधार पर 10 के पैमाने पर 3 से 5.1 अंक मिले हैं।

सर्वे में दूसरे देशों के शहरों का भी आकंलन किया गया जिसके आधार पर यह स्पष्ट हुआ कि भारत के मेट्रो शहर उनके मुकाबले कहां स्थान रखते हैं। इसमें साउथ अफ्रीका के जोहानिसबर्ग, यूके के लंदन और यूएसए के न्यू यॉर्क को 7.6, 8.8 और 8.8 स्कोर मिला है। एनजीओ द्वारा जारी प्रेस रिलीज में कहा गया, वार्षिक सर्वेक्षण में शहरों द्वारा लंबे समय तक उच्च स्तर के इंफ्रास्ट्रक्चर और सेवाओं को मानक बनाया जाता है।
