नई दिल्ली। सीबीआई के नए निदेशक के तौर पर ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला ने सोमवार को पद संभाल लिया। शुक्ला सुबह दफ्तर पहुंचे और उन्होंने औपचारिक तौर पर पद संभाला। शुक्ला इससे पहले मध्य प्रदेश के डीजीपी रह चुके हैं और उनकी गिनती तेज-तर्रार आईपीएस अधिकारी के तौर होती रही है।ऋषि कुमार शुक्ला 1983 बैच के मध्य प्रदेश काडर के अधिकारी हैं। सीबीआई प्रमुख का पद पूर्व निदेशक आलोक वर्मा का ट्रांसफर होने के बाद 10 जनवरी से खाली पड़ा हुआ था। नए सीबीआई चीफ की नियुक्ति के लिए सुप्रीम कोर्ट के जज समेत पीएम मोदी और कांग्रेस नेता मल्लिकार्जुन खडग़े थे। यह पहला मौका है जब मध्य प्रदेश काडर के किसी आईपीएस अधिकारी को सीबीआई प्रमुख बनाया गया है।खडग़े ने शुक्ला को सीबीआई चीफ बनाने पर आपत्ति जाहिर की थी और कहा था कि यह राजनीति से प्रेरित नियुक्ति है। बता दें कि शुक्ला को मध्य प्रदेश के डीजीपी पद से प्रदेश के नए कांग्रेसी सीएम कमलनाथ ने हटा दिया था। शुक्ला को शिवराज सिंह चौहान की सरकार में डीजीपी बनाया गया था।
