लखनऊ। उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ में स्थित रेलवे के अनुसंधान अभिकल्प एवं मानक संगठन (आरडीएसओ) ने अल्ट्रासोनिक ब्रोकन रेल डिटेक्शन (यूबीआरडी) के रूप में एक नई तकनीक विकसित की है। इस तकनीक की मदद से पटरियों के सिकुड़ने या फैलने की वजह से होने वाली घटनाओं पर लगाम लगाई जा सकेगी।
अधिकारियों के मुताबिक दो रेलखंडों में इसका ट्रायल भी शुरू हो गया है। आरडीएसओ के एक अधिकारी ने बताया कि गर्मी में फैलाव और सर्दियों में पटरियों के सिकुड़ने के कारण होने वाली घटनाओं को रोकने के लिए जल्द ही अल्ट्रासोनिक किरणों की एक नई तकनीक का इस्तेमाल किया जाएगा।
आरडीएसओ के एडीजी जोगेश सिंह के मुताबिक, “अल्ट्रासोनिक ब्रोकन रेल डिटेक्शन पर काम चल रहा है। इस तकनीक में अल्ट्रासोनिक किरणें रेल फ्रैक्चर व पटरियों के जोड़ की जानकारी देती हैं। इन किरणों से टूटी हुई पटरियों की जानकारी मिलते ही अलार्म बजने लगता है। इससे लोको पायलट सतर्क हो जाता है।“
सिंह ने बताया कि उत्तर मध्य रेलवे के इलाहाबाद डिवीजन और उत्तर रेलवे के मुरादाबाद डिवीजन में इस तकनीक का ट्रायल चल रहा है। ट्रायल के लिए 25-25 किलोमीटर का सेक्शन चुना गया है जहां इस सिस्टम को लगाया गया है। ट्रायल के जल्द पूरा होने की उम्मीद है, जिसके बाद इस तकनीक का इस्तेमाल शुरू हो सकेगा।
