नई दिल्ली। कई वस्तुओं पर जी.एस.टी. की दरों में भारी कटौती के बावजूद अगर कंपनियां उनके अधिकतम विक्रय मूल्य (एम.आर.पी.) को घटाने में ज्यादा समय लेती है तो उनके खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जाएगी। वित्त सचिव हसमुख अढ़यिा ने यह जानकारी देते हुए कहा कि दुकानदार या कंपनियां यह दावा नहीं कर सकतीं कि स्टॉक खत्म होने से ऊंची कीमतें बरकरार रहेंगी। उन्होंने कहा, श्कंपनियां कीमतों में अंतर के लिए सरकार से इनपुट टैक्स क्रेडिट का दावा कर सकती हैं। हमने इसके लिए प्रावधान बनाए हैं। अढ़यिा ने कहा कि कंपनियों को 15 नवंबर से नई कीमतें लागू करनी चाहिए थीं।
31 दिसंबर तक बदलना होगा जीएसटी
उन्होंने कहा कि उपभोक्ता मामलों के मंत्रालय ने कंपनियों को दिसंबर तक एम.आर.पी. में बदलाव करने की अनुमति दी है लेकिन इसका मतलब यह नहीं है कि उन्हें तब तक इंतजार करना चाहिए। रेस्त्रां के लिए जी.एस.टी. की नई दर पर संदेह दूर करते हुए वित्त सचिव ने कहा कि खासकर छोटे रेस्त्रां को इनपुट टैक्स क्रेडिट से बाहर रखना तर्कसंगत है। वहां से मुनाफाखोरी निरोधक प्रावधान में कार्रवाई के लिए ज्यादा मामले आने की संभावना नहीं है। अगर कोई कीमतें बढ़ाने की कोशिश करता है तो प्रतिस्पर्धा को अपना काम करना चाहिए। जी.एस.टी. के कारण कर संग्रह प्रभावित होने की आशंका पर उन्होंने उम्मीद जताई कि यह बजट अनुमानों के मुताबिक होगा।

जी.एस.टी. परिषद ने इस महीने हुई अपनी पिछली बैठक में 178 वस्तुओं पर जी.एस.टी. की दर 28 फीसदी से घटाकर 18 फीसदी कर दी थी। अढ़यिा ने कहा कि सरकार ने स्पष्ट किया है कि अगर कंपनियों को जी.एस.टी. के मुनाफाखोरी निरोधक नियम से बचना है तो उन्हें यह सुनिश्चित करना कंपनियों की जिम्मेदारी होगी कि दुकानदार दरों में कटौती का फायदा तुरंत ग्राहक को दें। उन्होंने कंपनियों को सलाह दी कि वे अपने उत्पादों की नई कीमतों के बारे में अखबारों में पारदर्शी तरीके से विज्ञापन दें।
