नई दिल्ली। नई कविता आंदोलन के सशक्त हस्ताक्षर कवि कुंवर नारायण का 90 साल की उम्र में आज बुधवार को निधन हो गया। मूलरूप से फैजाबाद के रहने वाले कुंवर तकरीबन 51 साल से साहित्य में सक्रिय थे। वह अज्ञेय द्वारा संपादित तीसरा सप्तक (1959) के प्रमुख कवियों में रहे हैं। कुंवर नारायण को अपनी रचनाशीलता में इतिहास और मिथक के जरिए, वर्तमान को देखने के लिए जाना जाता है। कुंवर नारायण की मूल विधा कविता रही है लेकिन इसके साथ ही उन्होंने कहानी, लेख व समीक्षाओं के साथ-साथ सिनेमा, रंगमंच में भी अहम योगदान दिया। उनकी कविताओं-कहानियों का कई भारतीय तथा विदेशी भाषाओं में अनुवाद भी हो चुका है। 2005 में कुंवर नारायण को साहित्य जगत के सर्वोच्च सम्मान ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया था। कुंवर नारायण का जन्म 19 सितंबर 1927 को हुआ था। कुंवर नारायण ने लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी से इंग्लिश लिटरेचर में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएशन किया और अपने पुश्तैनी ऑटोमोबाइल के बिजनेस में घरवालों के साथ शामिल हो गए थे। कुंवर नारायण कविता के साथ कहानी, लेख, समीक्षा, रंगमंच पर लिखते रहे हैं। वो 6 दशक से साहित्यिक लेखन कर रहे हैं। राजनैतिक विवाद से हमेशा दूरी बनाए रखने वाले कुंवर को 41वां ज्ञानपीठ पुरस्कार मिला था। साल 1995 में उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी और साल 2009 में उन्हें पद्म भूषण अवार्ड मिला था। कवि कुंवर नारायण वर्तमान में दिल्ली के सीआर पार्क इलाके में पत्नी और बेटे के साथ रहते थे। उनकी पहली किताब ‘चक्रव्यूहÓ साल 1956 में आई थी। साल 1995 में उन्हें साहित्य अकादमी और साल 2009 में उन्हें पद्म भूषण सम्मान भी मिला था। वह आचार्य कृपलानी, आचार्य नरेंद्र देव और सत्यजीत रे काफी प्रभावित रहे। उन्होंने लखनऊ यूनिवर्सिटी से इंग्लिश लिटरेचर में पोस्ट ग्रेजुएट किया था। पढ़ाई के तुरंत बाद उन्होंने ऑटोमोबाइल बिजनेस में काम करना शुरू कर दिया था, जो उनका पुश्तैनी बिजनेस था। बाद में उनका रुझान लेखन की ओर हुआ और उन्होंने इसमें नया मुकाम हासिल किया। चक्रव्यूह के अलावा उनकी प्रमुख कृतियों में तीसरा सप्तक- 1959, परिवेश: हम-तुम- 1961, आत्मजयी- प्रबंध काव्य- 1965, आकारों के आसपास- 1971, अपने सामने- 1979 शामिल हैं।
