दिल मुस्कुराने लगा खुद के तराने से,
फिर न जाने क्या हुआ कि
वो सरकने लगे कुछ बेगाने से
दिल को आहत किया करते रहे
वो बन कर जाने–जाने किन्तु अनजाने से
कष्ट हुआ पर आँसू गिरा न सका
कि अफ़सोस न हो उन्हें इस दीवाने से
है दुआ कि हँसे और मुस्कुराए वे,
पर न रोकें हमें वो छद्म मुस्कुराने से।
