नई दिल्ली । रक्षा मंत्री निर्मला सीतारमन की मौजूदगी में आज स्वदेशी एंटी-पनडुब्बी जहाज आईएनएस किलटन को भारतीय नौसेना में शामिल किया गया। इस मौके पर विशाखापत्तनम के नौसिक डॉकयार्ड में नौसैनिक स्टॉफ एडमिरल सुनील लांबा की मौजूदगी में एक कार्यक्रम हुआ। यह शिपयार्ड प्रोजेक्ट-28 के अंतर्गत बनने वाला आईएनएलकिलटन , शिवालिक क्लास, कोलकाता क्लास और आईएनएस कोमार्ता के बाद चौथा स्वदेशी निर्मित युद्धपोत है। आईएनएस किलटन को कोलकाता के गार्डन रीच शिपबिल्डिंग एडं इंजीनियरिंग में बनाया गया। इसे भारतीय नौसेना के इन-हाउस संगठन निदेशालय द्वारा डिजाइन किया है। सेना की ओर से जारी एक बयान में कहा गया कि भारतीय नौसेना के बढ़ रही शक्ति को दर्शाता है। बयान में कहा गया कि जहाज का निर्माण मेक इन इंडिया का अहम हिस्सा है। यह शिपयार्ड स्वदेशी अत्याधुनिक हथियारों और सेंसर से युक्त है, जिसमें हेवीवेट टॉरपीडो, एएसडब्ल्यू रॉकेट, 76 एमएम कैलिबर मिडियम रेंज बंदूक और दो बहु बैरल 30 एमएम बंदूकें शामिल हैं, साथ ही अग्निशमन नियंत्रण प्रणाली, उन्नत ईएसएम (इलेक्ट्रॉनिक सपोर्ट मेजर) सिस्टम, सबसे उन्नत सोनार और रडार को इंस्टॉल किया गया है। भारत का यह पहला युद्धपोत है , जिसे कार्बन फाइबर कंपोजिट मैटेरियल से बनाया गया है, जिससे इसे बनाने में कम खर्च आता है। जहाज का नाम लक्ष्यद्वीप सामरिक द्वीप अमिनिदिवी समूह के मिनिकॉय द्वीप समहू से लिया गया है। जहाज में आगे चलकर कम दूरी के एसएएम सिस्टम को लगाया जा सकेगा और एएसडब्ल्यू हेलीकॉप्टर को उतारने जा सकेगा। भारतीय जहाज रुस में बने उस जहाज की विरासत का दावा करता है, जो 1971 के भारत-पाक युद्ध के दौरान ‘ऑपरेशन ट्राइडेंट’ में सक्रिय रूप से उपयोग में लाया गया था।
